Since I was a little boy I loved to write. I had different feelings and questions than my friends--a different outlook on life. I wasn't sure if I was weird or just different. I entered an essay contest at age 10, a nation-wide one, and got second place. I started a journal at age 16 and have now filled 14 of them. I've published articles in magazines, and have written lots of newspaper editorials. I just finished my first novel, and hope to be published this spring. I've written a book for mid-grade readers as well as a children's book. Now it's time to blog. My facebook friends seem to love my posts, but I want to get more out there.
I'm now 53, and have been very very happily married for 31 years. I have 4 amazing children, and 7 grandchildren--they keep me busy. Professionally, I'm a registered nurse, and work in the ER. By the way, those episodes of ER you watched on TV? They really happen. But when I do get a free moment--I write. I never get tired of it. I'm the type that digs deep into my soul to find out my true feelings on matters whatever they may be...of the country of the world. After I dig deep, then I test my heart, and when I'm convinced of that I go to The Lord. That's when the pen comes out--well, in this day and age, the computer. I find that the majority of my thoughts are toward other people with a hope that my words will cheer someone up, or help them over one of those deep valleys. Maybe it's the nurse in me.
Can't wait. I look forward to meeting many many new people, and building and educating each other.
