I'm Christian
I often wonder if people of other faiths, devotions, and interests understand what being Christian means. They may feel unaccepted, looked down upon, aloof, or ostracized. I hope that isn't the case.
Indeed, a Christian's answer may vary since there are over 90,000 different Christian Religions around the world. But I have my view. I don't feel that a Christian's answer need be skewed. It's simple--we claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege.
Although God has sent prophets, apostles, and missionaries to proclaim the one true path back home to our Father who gave us life, there is no coercion or manipulation. Only an invitation to pray, study, and make the effort to feel the Holy Ghost and his light. Thus, our conscience will receive this true light, this burning from deep within, and it will lead us home. During this journey home he will grant us a firm foundation in Christ upon which if we build we cannot fall. This foundation includes faith and repentance, baptism, and the laying on of hands to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, enlightenment, knowledge and intelligence, peace and comfort, joy and rejoicing--in fine, all the gifts a loving Father wants for his children.
The key is that one of these Christian Religions is truly Jesus Christ's Church. Jesus did not author confusion. His house is a house of order. It's there, complete with all the principles and ordinances necessary for salvation. Complete with all that our Heavenly Father has revealed, all that he does now reveal, and all that he will yet reveal pertaining to his kingdom--preparing our way back home.
We just need to seek, study, and have faith. Indeed, that's why we came to earth. To covenant with Jesus through baptism that we will have faith in him, keep his commandments, and endure to the end.
I have faith unwavering that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of our Heavenly Father. He is our Savior. The good tidings of great joy to all people. He carried out our Father's will, and provided the way home. And he is still there. He's with us each and every minute of every day helping each of us to come unto him, and partake of all the gifts of Heaven.
