He Fought for Freedom
It was the year two thousand thirteen,
we laid our dear father to rest.
He was loving and honorable,
he gave this life his very best.
A devoted husband and father,
spiritual and hard working too.
But the theme chosen for his funeral,
was his fight to free me and you.
World war two was a gruesome war,
a battle to force us to conform.
Communism and socialism,
threatened to take the world by storm.
But dad fought with courage and strength,
backed by country united we stand.
Forever the red, white, and blue,
to wave over this free land.
And now, he lies in his coffin,
a smile radiant on his face.
All he knew was he won the war,
he had no idea what was now, taking place.
Now, just three years from that moment,
the freedoms he gave his life for.
Americans and their president,
wish to show liberty the door.
What has happened to our country?
The home of the free and the brave.
The land that our blessed forefathers,
gave blood, life, and limb to save.
The answer is frightfully clear,
the war against freedom Satan waged,
All the power and glory be mine,
was the battle cry he engaged.
Give me thine honor, God my Father,
he demanded with fervent appeal.
I'll provide everything for them,
I'll just take away their growth and zeal.
Satan wages this same war today.
He coerced one third of us to his aid.
One last attempt to rob our freedom,
will be his "God of this world" raid.
Now it seems Satan has won the war,
many leaders he's caught in his snare.
Americans are loosing hope,
plunging into anger and despair.
But dad, keep that smile on your face.
The war you fought was not in vain.
True Americans will hoist the flag.
From this battle we'll not refrain.
For I have faith in Jesus Christ,
he's sounding the battle cry.
On to victory we will go,
in him we can all rely.
The constitution for which many died,
stamped with approval by God's own hand.
Will be saved by Christ and "We the People."
Let freedom ring over this holy land.
