The War Rages On
Today is the day that
Here is some food for thought on what is going on in our world today.
One of my favorite praises is, by their fruits ye shall know them. Another is, the spirit of Christ is given to every person to judge good from evil. Everything that invites you to do good and believe in Christ comes from Christ, Everything that persuades you to do evil and deny Christ comes from the devil. I've put the substance of this phrase to task throughout my life and it never fails.
I've titled this message, "The War Rages On." This conflict began in our pre-earth life. Each of us fought this war and we won. We know we won because we are here on earth with physical bodies. (Revelations 12: 7-9) 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael (Michael is Adan's pre-earth name)and his angels fought against the dragon; and dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Satan and the evil spirits that followed him were denied bodies and cast here to earth to tempt and try us.
So here are five attributes that define Satan.
Lust for power and control.
Hatred for anyone who opposes him.
A liar. He is the Father of lies.
His
reward to his followers is that they will become miserable like him. He's fearful. God our Father and Jesus Christ are mightier than he and he knows he will ultimately be beaten.
Here are five of the beautiful qualities of Christ.
Grant all who fought with him in the beginning free agency.
Love, and even more pure is charity.
The Father of truth and righteousness.
His reward is all that God hath. To grow in wisdom, knowledge and all things good to become like him.
Perfect faith, power and courage to overcome evil.
So look at what is happening in the world right now before the second coming of our Savior. We remember the wheat and the tares? The wheat is getting wheatier and the tares are getting tarier. In fact, I think a new word should be added to the dictionary. It's one thing to be a hypocrite but it's another to take an evil behavior that one does himself then take that behavior and pin it on another. There is no depth of how low Satan will go.
So, in the coming years lets look at the fruits of ourselves and of others. Are we so power hungry that we'll choose the reward of misery? Do we feel hatred for those who oppose our belief? Are we willing to lie and deceive to get our way? Are we scared of the outcome of our current path?
Of course this earth life is our opportunity granted by our Heavenly Father to learn and grow. So let's put off the pride and choose God and his righteousness. Don't be deceived! Look at the fruits of those you are following! Become a leader and choose God. In the end you will be grateful.
