The Stars and Stripes Proudly Wave
Many years ago, Ezra Taft Benson, Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, declared that God has placed his stamp of approval on the constitution. He also prophesied that American Blood would be spilt in an effort to preserve it. And finally, to conclude his remarks he stated, "when the Lord comes, the stars and strips will be floating on the breeze over this people--may it be so.

He Fought for Freedom
While I was attending a concert by the "Tenors" in Las Vegas, Nevada, and unexpected event occurred. The Tenors in esthetic fashion began offering tribute to their mothers and fathers. It touched me deeply. I went to my hotel room and penned this poem.
Since I was a little boy I loved to write. I had different feelings and questions than my friends--a different outlook on life. I wasn't sure if I was weird or just different. I entered an essay contest at age 10, a nation-wide one, and got second place...
